UK-based defence technology company Hadean has entered into an agreement valued at up to £20m ($25.54m) with the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD).
This partnership focuses on advancing artificial intelligence and synthetic technologies while also supporting UK small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Hadean has previously collaborated with Defence and Security Accelerator, a UK MoD agency, to enhance the British Army’s virtual training space.
The new agreement aims to expedite the integration of synthetic technology into the UK’s military capabilities.
Hadean CEO Craig Beddis said: “SMEs, like Hadean, are a vital resource to UK defence and security. It is great to see the MoD’s continued commitment to the startup ecosystem ensuring UK forces have access to the best technology to protect our national security.”
Hadean’s technology is already employed in live, virtual, and constructive training environments, combining simulations with real-world exercises to enhance training realism without incurring high costs or risking lives.
Its scalable simulations support various applications, including AI training, uncrewed-vehicle operations, wargaming, and providing real-time and predictive insights throughout the mission planning and execution phases.
Additionally, Hadean in collaboration with Deloitte will deliver critical mission capabilities for NATO.
This effort focuses on equipping NATO to address growing global threats.
The company will offer AI, synthetic, and spatial computing solutions to improve planning, training, and decision-making processes in a rapidly changing operational landscape.
As part of the NATO Modelling & Simulation Group’s capability development initiatives, Hadean and Deloitte will implement a common synthetic environment to integrate existing software, hardware, and data solutions.
This integration will provide NATO with enhanced real-time situational awareness for strategic and tactical operations.
Craig Beddis added: “Deloitte’s work with Hadean will accelerate NATO’s adoption of synthetics as it redefines the operating theatre.
