Virat Kohli reveals the hilarious reason behind buying his first car

Virat Kohli, the former Indian skipper, is known for his love for cars. He owns a collection of luxury cars, including models of Audi, BMW, Range Rover, Bentley, and Porsche. However, in a recent interview with Star Sports, Kohli revealed the story behind buying his first car, which was none other than the Tata Safari.

Kohli’s love for cars was evident when he drove his Porsche to the Arun Jaitley Stadium during a practice session while the Indian cricket team faced Australia in Delhi in February. Kohli stayed at his home ground during the match and took the opportunity to travel to the stadium by his own car.

During the interview with Star Sports, Kohli said that the Safari was his first car, which he bought with his own money. He revealed the hilarious reason behind his decision to buy the car. According to Kohli, at the time, the Safari was a car that people used to clear the road, as it was seen as a massive vehicle that could easily intimidate other drivers. Kohli said, “When the Safari used to come on the road, people would clear the way on their own. That was the motivation behind buying the Safari, not how it runs or whether it has enough space or not.”

Kohli’s car preferences have changed with time, and he now prefers SUVs, which usually have more space. In the interview, Kohli also mentioned his fondness for sports cars in the past, but he now values comfort and space over speed.
