Suryakumar Yadav is a bigger name than Rohit Sharma at Mumbai Indians – Harbhajan Singh

Suryakumar Yadav scored his maiden IPL century against Gujarat Titans on May 12, as the 32-year-old scored an unbeaten 103(49). After the stunning knock, SKY climbed to 3rd in the leading-run scorers’ chart for this season and broke a plethora of records.

Since the magnificent knock, which helped MI win the game against GT, several cricketers hailed the right-hand batter. The latest to speak highly of SKY is former India spinner, Harbhajan Singh.

Singh, appearing on his YouTube channel, praised Yadav and even rated him as the biggest name for Mumbai Indians this season. Further, the Turbanator also made a stunning ‘Sachin Tendulkar’ comparison.

“I bow down to SKY’s class. He is single-handedly winning matches for Mumbai Indians. It is not that others are not doing well, but SKY is head and shoulders above the rest. He is simply unstoppable. I must admit that there is no bigger name than Suryakumar Yadav in Mumbai Indians now.”

“SKY is winning hearts with his batting, and like earlier it used to be ‘Sachin, Sachin’, now ‘Surya’ ‘Surya’ chants reverberate the whole ground.”

Notably, Surya started the tournament with a string of poor innings, but the scintillating form in the last seven games has helped Surya gather 479 runs in 12 games.
