No one wants to be in his shoes – Robin Uthappa disheartened by Sanju Samson’s omission from the Australia series

On September 18, Rohit Sharma and chief selector Ajit Agarkar named the squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Australia. Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, and Kuldeep Yadav were given rest, while R Ashwin made a surprise return to the side.

After seeing Ashwin’s inclusion, several fans raised their voice in unison over Sanju Samson’s omission. Notably, the Rajasthan Royals skipper is not a part of the ICC World Cup 2023 squad and many feel that he should have been given a chance to prove his worth against Australia.

Besides the fans, former CSK star player Robin Uthappa extended his support to Sanju and took to Twitter to raise his voice for the right-hand batter.

“No one would wanna be in Sanju’s shoes right now!!. The justification could be that even if he was in the squad he wouldn’t get a game. But not even being in the squad would be quite disheartening..”
