Mumbai Indians defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 8 wickets to finish on 16 points from 14 matches. They will qualify for the playoff if Royal Challengers lose to Gujarat Titans or the match is abandoned due to rain.
MI captain Rohit Sharma was happy at the post-match presentation ceremony and talked about the favour they did to RCB in the last season of the league and expected the same from them in the ongoing season.
He was indirectly saying RCB to concede the game against GT to confirm Mumbai’s place in the knockouts.
Rohit won the toss and elected to bowl first at the Wankhede Stadium. Sunrisers smashed 200/5 in 20 overs, with Mayank Agarwal scoring 83 off 46 balls.
Cameron Green scored a century, while Rohit hit a fifty to take Mumbai to a win by 8 wickets.
