Former England batter Kevin Pietersen recently slammed a half-century in Qualifier 2 of the Legends League Cricket (LLC). He shared a video of his knock and enquired about giving his name for IPL 2024 auction on December 19.
Playing for India Capitals, Pietersen amassed 56 off 27 deliveries with two fours and five sixes against Manipal Tigers on December 7. With his team struggling at 53/3, the right-hander helped the India Capitals post 177/9 in 20 overs.
His knock went in vain as Tigers won the game by 6 wickets to qualify for the final.

KP scored 169 runs at a strike rate of 177.89 in LLC 2023.
He played a key role in England’s triumph in the 2010 T20 World Cup.
The right-handed batter scored over 13,000 runs for England. He hit 32 hundreds in 277 matches.
Kevin Pietersen’s IPL career
In 2009, Pietersen played for Royal Challengers Bangalore and was also appointed their captain. The team won two out of six games and he returned home for international games.
Kevin joined Deccan Chargers in 2011 but didn’t play a single game for the franchise. His next destination was Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) in 2012.
He scored 305 runs at a strike rate of 147.34 in eight contests, including his only century in IPL history.
Pietersen missed the 2013 edition and managed just 294 runs in 2014. He was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in 2015 but was released before the start of the season.
His last season was with Rising Pune SuperGiants in 2016, where he scored 73 runs in four games.
Overall, Kevin Pietersen took part in 36 IPL games and scored over 1,000 runs at an average of 37.07 and a strike rate of 134.72.
