The 2nd day of the third Test between India and Australia is underway at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. After one hour of play, the Aussies have lost two wickets but are going strong with a lead of 79 runs after 72 overs.
On the first day of the match, Australia restricted India to 109 runs, and the star of the day was their new spinner, Matthew Kuhnemann. The 26-year-old took his maiden five-wicket haul and was in the news after stumps also because of his remarks on Jadeja and the Indore pitch.
Kuhnemann, who was not a part of the squad initially, was called to replace Mitchell Swepson after Australia’s humiliating defeat in the first game, spoke to the press, where he stated that he asked Ravindra Jadeja for tips, to which the Indian star replied with a savage remark.
“I asked Jadeja whether he got any tips for me, and he said, ‘Yes, but after the series’,” Kuhnemann spoke highly of Jadeja and said that he learnt a lot from the southpaw from the first two games.
Besides that, Matthew was asked to reflect his views on the pitch, where the 26-year-old made a stunning revelation. Kuhnemann praised the conditions and said that he could live here in Indore only and play the rest of his career here.
“I love here in Indore. I could just live here and play the rest of my career here. These are awesome conditions for a spinner.”
