Sourav Ganguly said Ravindra Jadeja’s return is good for the Indian team ahead of the four-match Test series against Australia.
Jadeja was out of action since August last year after suffering a freak injury during the Asia Cup 2022. He recently played in one of the matches in the Ranji Trophy 2022-23 season.
The all-rounder took 8 wickets and scored 40 runs across two innings. Ganguly feels the Aussies will find it difficult to handle spin duo.
“Spin is always important. Nagpur and Ahmedabad will offer bounce. Delhi could have a flat surface. Dharamsala will again be a good wicket. It will assist the spinners,” he said.
“It won’t be easy to play Ravindra Jadeja and R Ashwin together. I don’t know whether they will play three spinners with no Rishabh Pant in the team. That’s Rahul Dravid’s call.”
