In recent events, Delhi Capitals star player Ishant Sharma announced that he and his wife Pratima Singh are expecting their first child. Pratima is a basketball player and represents India women’s national basketball team. The duo got married on December 10, 2016.

Ishant’s wife confirmed the news when she reposted a post by Aakansha Singh on her Insta feed. “My darling @pratima0808 and @ishant.sharma29 bahot bahot badhai! Wishing you both heartily congratulations. I am sure you guys will be great parents. Can’t wait for the lil star to arrive in this world and shine like a star,” she wrote.
Even Delhi Capitals posted the update on their official Instagram handle and wrote, “Coming Soon – A new addition to our DC family.”
After missing out on IPL in 2022, Sharma returned to the cash-studded league in 2023 with Delhi Capitals, where he took ten wickets in eight games, his best season since 2019.
