A life was lost, and dozens were severely injured after blasts in the convention centre in Kalamassery in Ernakulam district of Kerala on Sunday morning.
There was distress in the state after this incident, and several more are feared to lose their lives.

In the latest events, Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar has condemned the attack and took to Twitter to wish for the speedy recovery of those affected.
“Deeply saddened by the blasts in Kerala. Condolences to the affected families, and praying for the recovery of those injured.”
After the blast, Home Minister Amit Shah directed the National Investigation Agency and National Security Guard to reach the site and start an investigation. It was a three-day convention for which more than 2000 people registered.
Meanwhile, a man has surrendered taking responsibility for the blast. The police questioned him and told the media that the situation was under control and due interrogation was taking place.
