Pakistan’s Haris Rauf names former RCB star as his all-time favourite bowler

The ICC World Cup 2023 is right at the door, with ten teams gearing up to partake in the premier white-ball event from October 5 in India. Meanwhile, Pakistan is the only team who are yet to be issued visas to travel to India. Further, the Babar Azam-led side has been hit by injuries as their star bowler Naseem Shah got ruled out of the tournament because of a shoulder injury, which has put added responsibilities on the shoulders of Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf.

Talking about Rauf, the right-arm seamer recently revealed his all-time bowler, and it is not Wasim Akram or Shoaib Akhtar. Rather, the 29-year-old picked former RCB bowler and South African legend Dale Steyn.

“I have always followed Dale Steyn. I love his on-field aggression and try to replicate that on the field. Although I tend to go over, Dale Steyn is my favourite all-time bowler.”

Rauf made these remarks in a conversation with the ICC. Here is the video.

Rauf was also ruled out of the Asia Cup because of an injury, but the fans need not worry, as the right-arm quick is all fit and will feature for the Men in Green from the first game.
