There is no official statement on Jasprit Bumrah’s return to cricket. He has started bowling at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru.
There were reports that he could play in the upcoming three-match T20I series against Ireland. However, captain Rohit Sharma has almost ruled out his comeback.
He urged everyone to be patient with the fast bowler as Bumrah has recovered from a serious injury.
“Jasprit Bumrah is a experience bowler. However, I am not sure of him playing in the Ireland series. We haven’t decided anything on his comeback,” said Rohit Sharma.
He has been missing from the action since last year. India are relying on him for the ICC World Cup 2023.
