I’ve taken alot of pride under Dhoni’s captaincy then my own captaincy and now under Rohit: Virat makes no-nonsense statement

Virat Kohli looked at his absolute best in India’s second innings of the World Test Championship final against Australia. He was unbeaten on 44, with India still needing 280 in 97 overs.

He recently spoke to ICC about his performances and mindset.

“I love to do the job for the team. It’s something I’ve taken alot of pride in firstly under MS Dhoni captaincy then my own captaincy and now under Rohit Sharma. I’m enjoying my cricket,” he said.

The sub-continent team was given a 444-run by Australia. India were 164/3 with Ajinkya Rahane also at the crease at the end of play on Day 4.

Pat Cummins’ team declared their second innings on a score of 270/8. They accumulated 469 in the first innings while the Rohit Sharma-led unit was bowled out for 269.
