Ponting, Warner and Watson – Australian legends turn against the home association for providing bad pitches in home games

All is not well between the coaching staff of the Delhi Capitals and the Delhi Cricket Association. After head coach Ricky Ponting, assistant coach Shane Watson has blamed pitches for the poor performance of the home franchise in Delhi.

The home curators prepare the tracks in consultation with the support staff. However, the recent statements made by two legendary cricketers are enough to highlight the kind of chemistry the team has with the stakeholders of the home board.

“The pitches in Delhi haven’t been great. They are probably good if the Indian batters dominate the top order, but in our case, it was different,” he said.

After Delhi posted their first 200-plus total of the season in Dharamshala, captain David Warner stated that his batters could not figure out the best total at home due to slow and inconsistent pitches.
